MONDAY NOTES

POSSIBLE PICKUPS…

QB Matt Schaub
Numbers don’t lie and Schaub has the Texans moving the ball. Overall, his Yards per Attempt stats look good and of all the stats, this is one of the best leading predictors you’ll ever find. Once Andre Johnson returns, things should only get better.

QB David Garrard
We’ve had him in this space before and as a weekly bargain as well. Garrard should only improve as the season grinds on and he can help you with his arm and legs.

QB Trent Green
He’s averaging over 300-yards per game over the last two weeks along with 3 TDs. Green could be good for an excellent spot play in week’s six and eight (CLE and NYG).

QB Derek Anderson
As we have said before, he kind of reminds us of a young Drew Bledsoe. Big and strong, Anderson undoubtedly has the physical tools needed. While Anderson remains an iffy pick, if you have room and would like to take a flyer on a QB, here is your man. He’s averaging close to 300-yards and 3+ TDs over his last two games.

QB Kurt Warner
Warner ran one of the best no-huddle attacks we’ve seen this year - on the road against the Ravens no less. In a flash, Warner connected on 15 of 20 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns. Coach Ken Whisenhunt said Matt Leinart would start Sunday against Pittsburgh, but you have to figure Warner could start a game or two down the line if Leinart falters.

QB David Carr
Carolina has six really soft games coming up and if Jake Delhomme (elbow) is ever unable to play, Carr would make for a decent start.

RB Kevin Jones
We had him in this space last week. He returned to action on Sunday as was featured on the goal line. OC Martz likes Jones and he’ worth having on you roster.

RB Brian Leonard
Rams RB Steven Jackson will miss at least one week with a partial tear of his left groin, an injury sustained in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 24-3 loss at Tampa Bay. Rookie Brian Leonard, a second-round pick from Rutgers, will get his first start Sunday at Dallas. Coach Scott Linehan said Jackson would be week to week.

RB Sammy Morris
He’s one injury away from being a Fantasy Football hammer in NE’s offense. Even with Laurence Maroney 100% healthy, Morris looks like he’s going to get 10-15 touches per game as long as the Pats continue to win via blowouts.

RB Ron Dayne (chest)
Just in case Ahman Green (knee) can’t go.

RB Kenny Watson
He’s always shown a nice upside regardless how many times the Bengals have tried to replace him. If Rudi Johnson were to re-injure his hamstring at some point this season, Watson could be a nice addition to your starting lineup. Johnson said after the game Sunday that his hamstring injury wouldn't keep him out of next Monday night's game against New England

RB Correll Buckhalter
Buckhalter has value as Westbrook’s handcuff but don’t drop someone of value to land Buckhalter just yet.

RB Selvin Young
Sometimes buzz is just that, but Denver really does seem to like this guy. In key plays in Week #2 and Week #3 they called his number. We like his speed and ability once he gets into open space. Young is a potential hammer waiting to happen should Travis Henry get hurt.

WR Kevin Curtis
Looks to be the #1 deep target in Philadelphia’s pass-happy offense. Prior to his monster game in Week #3 we had him ranked as the 40th best WR moving forward. After Sunday, his stock will continue to rise.

WR Brandon Marshall
Denver has a textbook offense and Marshall will see plenty of man coverage this year. His stock is on the rise and he has talent.

WR Derrick Mason
Three decent games in a row to start the year and the Ravens get the Browns, 49ers and Rams in the next three weeks.

WR Roddy White
With the Titans, NYG and Saints coming up, the Falcons offense might just continue to make some noise.

WR Shaun McDonald
He grades out among the top-20 WRs in many FF leagues this year even as Lions #4 WR. With Calvin Johnson a little dinged, McDonald could see more balls coming his way.

WR Greg Jennings
He ran well coming off his hamstring problem. Worth stashing if you have room.

WR Dwayne Bowe
Two TDs in his last two games, the rookie has talent as a possession receiver. Still, he’s only suggested for 14+ team leagues or in 12-team keeper leagues.

TE Owen Daniels
With Andre Johnson hurting, Daniels will continue to be the Texans #1 receiving option.
